    Before creating his own law office, Joel was in private practice with a prestigious law firm in Omaha, Nebraska. He entered private practice after serving as Vice President and General Counsel for the University of Nebraska for over 10 years. As Chief legal officer and member of the senior leadership team for the four-campus University of Nebraska system, Joel was a principal advisor in multiple significant projects, including the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at UNMC, Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln, Baxter Arena in Omaha, and Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. Joel established and provided legal support for the University of Nebraska’s affiliated development corporations for the Cancer Center, Med Center, Nebraska Innovation Campus, Kearney University Village, and Baxter Arena.
